SmartSynch’s AMIIntelligence™ residential smart metering solution features a communications module that is integrated into the GE I-210+c electricity meter. The I-210+c SmartMeter communicates with the SmartSynch Transaction Management System™ (TMS) or other C12.21 head-end systems (such as MV-90) and complies with ANSI C12.19 protocols for data storage and transmission.
This solution delivers actionable intelligence (critical usage and rate data) over secure public wireless networks (such as AT&T, T-Mobile and Rogers Wireless) and the Internet—in lieu of cumbersome and expensive private networks, making mass deployments quicker, easier and more scalable while providing a significantly greater Return on Resources (RoR) for utilities. Unlike proprietary, closed-architecture solutions, the I-210+c SmartMeter is a future-proof investment in technology. Its standards-based IP connectivity makes it adaptable and field-upgradable.

The I-210+c SmartMeter is a singlephase electronic watt-hour meter for use in residential and light commercial sevice locations. The I-210+c’s key features include Time of Use (TOU), Demand and Load Profile, Power Quality and Low Voltage Monitoring, Remote Connect/Disconnect, Remote Meter Programming and C12.22/C12.21 compatibility.
Data Delivery over Public Wireless Networks
The SmartMeter System leverages public wireless networks to deliver data between our signature TMS architecture and each SmartMeter endpoint. Because dependable, secure information is critical, SmartSynch’s technology has been designed to work with multiple types of wireless communication networks, including GPRS and Wi-Fi.
SmartSynch evaluates networks on the basis of cost, coverage and capabilities, with a focus on delivering data reliably, quickly and securely. One of the most important characteristics of our technology is that we use existing networks, avoiding the need to build a redundant, expensive communications infrastructure.

The I-210+c SmartMeter has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, with a wireless transmission temperature range of -40°C to +80°C. This device is designed to function in environments of varying humidity, from 0% to 95% (non-condensing), and meets ANSI 12.20 standards for accuracy class 0.5%.
