Commercial Solution: Itron SENTINEL GPRS
SmartSynch’s AMIIntelligence™ C&I metering solution features a communications module that is integrated into the Itron SENTINEL electricity meter. The SENTINEL GPRS SmartMeter communicates with a server running SmartSynch’s Transaction Management System™ (TMS) and complies with ANSI C12.19 protocols for data storage and transmission.
This solution delivers actionable intelligence (critical usage and rate data) over secure public wireless networks (such as AT&T, T-Mobile and Rogers Wireless) and the Internet—in lieu of cumbersome and expensive private networks. This makes mass deployments quicker, easier and more scalable, providing a significantly greater Return on Resources (RoR) for utilities.

Operating Ranges
The SENTINEL GPRS SmartMeter has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, with a wireless transmission temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. This device is designed to function in environments of varying humidity, from 0% to 95% (non-condensing), and meets ANSI 12.20 standards for accuracy class 0.2%.
