Smart Grid Applications
SmartSynch's wireless SmartBox solutions provide an intelligent infrastructure upon which Smart Grid applications may be extended to consumers. Once these solutions are installed, utilities can more effectively control both centralized and distributed energy sources and offer incentive rate plans as part of demand response and green energy initiatives.
SmartSynch GridRouter™
The GridRouter uses Field Replaceable Units to enable several different networking solutions that may be replaced as technologies evolve. These include Wide Area Network (WAN) cards, which allow for a link to the Internet and the utility’s back office; Local Area Network (LAN) cards, which enable utilities to aggregate or mesh multiple meters on WAN connections; and Home Area Network (HAN) cards, which give utilities access to home appliances for remote power management. Other cards can be made available to utilities to support other monitoring and control applications as needed. Visit GridRouter.com to learn more about this revolutionary smart grid device.
