SmartSynch Holds First User Group ConferenceSeven Top North American Utilities Gather to Share Ideas Jackson, MS — April 25, 2001 SmartSynch, a leading provider of end-to-end wireless data solutions to the energy and utility market, today announced that it held its first User Group Conference April 1-3, 2001 in Miami, FL. SmartSynch customer, Florida Power & Light (FPL), hosted the event at the Inter-Continental Hotel. In addition to FPL, conference attendees included ComEd, Duke Energy, Exelon Corporation, Lockheed Martin, NSTAR, Portland General Electric, Potomac Electric Power Company, PPL Utilities and Siemens Power Transmission & Distribution. During the User Group Conference, SmartSynch's customers shared experiences on how to incorporate and effectively utilize SmartSynch's energy technology solutions. Attendees also participated in interactive round-table discussions on monitoring power quality, implementing load control solutions and optimizing the use of valuable meter data within the utility enterprise.
