For any smart grid deployment, we have fully staffed, trained and experienced teams who can execute and support a fully configured, deployed and operational smart grid system. We coordinate with all major meter installation vendors, Home Area Network (HAN) providers and Meter Data Management (MDM) providers, ensuring the integrated solution is delivered as planned. Our Client Services team will coordinate turnkey support for all aspects of your smart grid deployment:
- Overall Project Management ensuring all committed deliverables are provided
- Installation and deployment coordination of all smart meters and HAN devices
- Field investigation support of all smart meter hardware and communication issues
- System integration coordination with the MDM system
- Managed Services delivery of the Transaction Management System (TMS), including TMS system operation, TMS reporting, monthly billing export creation and transfer, and interval data export creation and transfer
- Return materials (smart meters and HAN devices) coordination, reporting and issue investigation and resolution.
We will assign a Project Manager dedicated to the project to coordinate SmartSynch resources and system requirements with the client’s Project Manager. Our project plan and project team are integrated with the utility’s implementation and deployment plan.
Coordination of Resources
In addition to the Project Manager, we'll bring to the project many significant resources, including Client Services Support, TMS functional and technical implementation engineers, database and network infrastructure specialists, TMS software and meter deployment training specialists, cellular RF engineers and a dedicated customer support staff.
SmartSynch Client Services works closely with the utllity client to plan and schedule the deployment of the SmartSynch solution according to specified requirements and timelines. Typical factors included in planning the deployment are risk assessment, project deliverables, estimated delivery date of meter stock, server hardware installation, meter installation, TMS software installation and software and meter installation training dates.
