Nancy C. Floyd

Nancy is cofounder of Nth Power Technologies and has both energy and telecom management experience. She has led and managed investments in utility automation, distributed generation, data networking, IT, and advanced lighting. Prior to founding Nth Power, Ms. Floyd built, managed, and negotiated the sale of three high-growth energy and telecommunications companies. In the energy arena, she founded NFC Energy Corporation, an independent power company utilizing advanced technology developed by NASA and Sandia Labs. She developed over $30 million in projects and sold the company, generating a 25-fold return on the original capital invested in three years. In 1984, she helped found PacTel Spectrum Services, a network management company for private voice and data networks and a subsidiary of Pacific Telesis. Ms. Floyd was responsible for the nationwide launch of Spectrum Services, which was ultimately sold to IBM in 1987.

Ms. Floyd holds a master's degree in political science from Rutgers University (1977), where she was an Eagleton Fellow. She received a bachelor's degree in political science from Franklin and Marshall College (1976), where she currently serves as a Trustee. Ms. Floyd is a member of the boards of MainStreet Networks, Inari, Silicon Energy (observer), TeamFuel, and Sustainable Asset Management's Energy Fund. She serves on the Advisory Boards of The Environmental Capital Network, and National Renewable Energy Labs.
